To start off the day we check homework. Everybody has their homework! We share our summaries with the class. We talk about what happens in the first chapter and we add a page to our reader/writer journal in Cornell Note form. Next, we draw inferences about characters in the first chapter of The Outsiders and share them. Lastly, we finish off the question, Who are you as a writer?
